Frequently asked questions

Do I need to change my number or phone provider?

No. You keep your number and your carrier. Calls reach VoxTelio through call forwarding or a SIP connection, depending on your setup. We check compatibility, and any charges from your provider, before anything is installed.

Will callers know they’re talking to an AI?

Yes. The assistant says so at the start of every call. This can’t be switched off, and the assistant never claims to be a person.

What happens if the assistant doesn’t understand?

It asks the caller to rephrase, then offers a callback or a transfer according to your rules. If there is a technical failure, the call is sent to your backup number rather than left unanswered.

Can I control what the assistant is allowed to say?

Yes. You approve the answers it can give, the details it should collect, who calls can be transferred to and when a human must take over. Your website can be a starting point, but nothing is used until you approve it.

Are calls recorded?

Audio recording is off by default. Calls are transcribed and summarized so your team can follow up, with a defined and documented retention period.

Where is the data processed?

VoxTelio uses Mistral AI models and plans to host production in the European Union. The list of subprocessors, processing locations and retention periods is shared with you before any pilot. See Trust & Security.

Which countries do you support?

We are starting with English-speaking markets (United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand) and France. Inbound calls work wherever your number can be forwarded. Outbound and prospecting features are enabled country by country as rule packs become available.

Can the assistant call my customers?

That’s the Follow-up calls module, in preparation: callbacks your customers asked for and appointment confirmations, with approvals, call windows and an instant stop. See Follow-up calls.

How are minutes counted?

Per second, while the AI assistant is in the conversation, never twice during a transfer. Included minutes and overage rates are set out in your written proposal. Your carrier’s charges are separate.

Can I stop after the pilot?

Yes. The 30-day pilot doesn’t commit you to a subscription. How to stop, how your data is deleted and how calls go back to your usual setup are agreed before go-live.
